''The beginning of each painting is free, instinctive. I seek inspiration in accident. But when I try to employ chance, it somehow becomes order. With the predominance of black and white, my hope is to communicate my emotions easily and naturally with those of the viewer."

I regard painting as therapy. Not a prerogative of the rich. While painting remains the foundation of it all, I also aim to create everyday objects to bring beauty to every home. Let it be a tea towel, a purse or a blouse, art can be used for expression, style, out of need...

During the show at New Society Glasgow I will be exhibiting my most recent work, including paintings and a collection of ‘ready to use’ items.

'Though I am free' runs at New Glasgow Society from 10am-8pm 18th-21st and 26th-28th May 2017
