Illustrator and art tutor Ailsa Sutcliffe will be holding two drop-in collage workshops at NGS on Wednesday the 19th October, 12-4pm and 5-9pm.

Ailsa graduated from The Glasgow School of Art in 2014 and has since been working at Project Ability as an art tutor. She is interested in the accidental dialogue that can be generated between images, creating narratives with imagery carefully sourced from library books across Glasgow. She enjoys combining images, colour and text to produce intimate and playful books and sculptures. Interested in the value and impact of art therapy, she is particularly drawn to autobiographical or personal work that blurs the line between illustration and psychological exploration.

In the workshops you will have the opportunity to play with a wealth of imagery and work in any way you please, whether it be making books and graphic novels, or working on wood and cardboard. No booking is required, but a £5 donation to cover costs will be expected.
